Using the Engineering Design Process, Career Strategies students in Mrs. Smith's Drafting/CAD class built boats using straws, cups, plastic wrap, and duct tape. Students were challenged to assemble the materials so the boat would float as a minimum of passengers (1/2" standard washers) board the boat while it is in the water.
