For students who are passionate about the science, technique and study of food and the culinary world, this program is for you. It delivers industry-based instruction allowing students to pursue careers in the food services and hospitality industry. Students learn complex cooking techniques and key concepts that help launch a career as a future chef. Instruction and hands-on experiences include planning, selecting, preparing and serving quality food, nutritive values, use and care of commercial equipment, safety and sanitation precautions. In this two-year program, successful students attain NOCTI and ServSafe certifications (the pass rate for 2023 was 100%), while dual-enrolled students may also gain valuable college credit for further education.
