Ms. Mary Walker, Jobs for Virginia Graduates Career Specialist at the Washington County Career & Technical Education Center, was recognized on October 16, 2023 for the pivotal role she plays in her students’ lives. The WCCTEC exceeded the 6-of-6 Performance Outcome Standards for the Class of 2022, thanks to Ms. Walker’s tireless efforts with her students and colleagues to positively impact graduation, employment, positive outcome, full-time jobs, connectivity, and full-time placement rates. Ms. Walker counsels students, places individuals in requested courses, plans and coordinates a variety of events and activities, schedules and administers exams and tests, celebrates student success, and encourages those who have setbacks. Her days are always filled, but she is never too busy to answer questions or provide help to anyone who asks. Congratulations to Ms. Walker for being recognized for the hard work she does each day!
