Career & Technical Education (CTE) describes classes that are designed to prepare students for the workforce. But today’s CTE isn’t your grandfather’s vocational education. While CTE continues to prepare students to directly enter the workforce through certification in building trades, welding, cosmetology and more, additional programs have been added that serve to prepare students for further education and college degrees. These programs are academically rigorous and provide an excellent springboard to higher education.
